Rosemary Cottage Care Limited is a locally owned, run and focused company, with the needs of the island at its heart.

Rosemary Cottage is a specialist registered residential care home providing medium and long term residential care to those living with drug and alcohol related issues such as Wernicke-Korsakoff's syndrome and other mental health illness. The home caters for up to 7 residents.

We are partnered with SMART Recovery who advocate self-empowering skills and supporting each other in recovery.

We offer skilled and professional care to enable the individuals living at Rosemary Cottage to achieve their optimum state of health and well-being.

We respect and encourage the individual uniqueness of residents, staff and visitors, and treat everyone with dignity and respect at all times. We encourage independence and the need for personal fulfilment, offering individualised options for meaningful activities to satisfy the needs of the residents and staff.

Assessment process

Rosemary Cottage strives to help residents to achieve greater independence, by providing a safe home and ongoing psychosocial support that is unique to each individual.

Careful assessment of each person admitted to the home is carried out prior to admission. This assessment, alongside any assessment completed by a referring professional and involvement from the resident, is then used to put a package of care and support in place that will enable each person to be as independent as possible.

We encourage the development of former skills and interests, as well as providing opportunities for new experiences to enrich residents lives. Additionally, by providing relapse prevention support in a safe and secure environment we intend to help our residents to achieve personal aspirations and maximise their abilities. The team at Rosemary Cottage encourage links with a residents family; often lost when lives are disrupted by drug or alcohol abuse.

BSc Psychology 2:1 (Hons) • MSc Forensic Psychology • RQF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management in Adult Care

Noel has an extensive background working in community and hospital based drug and alcohol support, gained working in Bath & North East Somerset Community Services. He has also gained experience delivering accredited CBT rehabilitation programmes with HM Prison Service. He brings these experiences together to support the residents at Rosemary Cottage.

Kelly Tyler

Director / Deputy Manager

RQF Level 3 in Adult Social Care

Kelly has gained a wealth of experience in management and communication from working within banking, trust & relocation services. She has 15 years experience working within the adult social care sector, including 5 years at Rosemary Cottage.
